Service 1｜90-Minute Online IA / EE Idea Consultation / Writing Guidance (HKD 1,980)
This service helps students clarify the direction of their IA topic, assess its feasibility, and receive advice on topic selection, mathematical depth, IA / EE structure, and writing approach. During the session, the tutor will work with the student to brainstorm, refine, and revise their ideas, while guiding them step by step in developing the IA / EE, improving expression, and strengthening mathematical analysis. Specific suggestions will be provided according to the student’s progress.
Service 2｜IA/EE Mathematical Presentation Enhancement (HKD 240 100 per page) PROMOTION
This service is suitable for students who have already completed a draft and would like to improve the clarity, organisation, and professional presentation of their IA / EE. Using professional mathematical typesetting tools such as LaTeX, formulas, graphs, tables, and page layout will be refined to improve mathematical expression and overall presentation. The focus is on strengthening the performance of Criteria A and B.
(Students may receive a free one-page sample based on their draft to preview the enhancement effect before deciding whether to use the service.)

Dr. Lee is a professional mathematics tutor with 12 years of teaching experience across secondary, undergraduate, and competition mathematics. Holding a PhD in Pure Mathematics from a Russell Group university in the United Kingdom, completed with full scholarship support, Dr. Lee also graduated with First Class Honours in Mathematics and Mathematics Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a minor in Statistics.
Before doctoral study in the United Kingdom, Dr. Lee achieved top results in public examinations, including 5** in HKDSE Mathematics Compulsory Part and 5* in Mathematics Extended Part Module 2. During undergraduate study, Dr. Lee was consistently recognised on the Dean’s List and received multiple academic awards and scholarships.
Dr. Lee has taught mathematics in a wide range of academic settings. From 2021 to 2025, Dr. Lee served as a teaching assistant at a UK university, teaching and assessing more than ten undergraduate mathematics modules. Previous roles also include instructor for CUHK’s mathematics enrichment programmes and member of a Mathematics Olympiad problem-setting committee, with responsibility for designing competition problems for high-achieving students.
In recent years, Dr. Lee has developed particular expertise in IBDP Mathematics, HKDSE Mathematics, university-level mathematics, and IA guidance. Since 2020, Dr. Lee has advised over 80 IBDP Mathematics IA / EE projects, helping students refine their topics, strengthen mathematical depth, and present their work with clarity and originality. The teaching approach focuses not only on improving examination performance, but also on helping students build genuine mathematical understanding and confidence.
Dr. Lee is able to teach fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and also holds JLPT N2 certification in Japanese. This multilingual background supports clear communication of mathematical ideas to students from different academic and linguistic backgrounds.
